Have fun pinning!

It was a great day in Temecula as we prepared for one special couple’s wedding. Brunch was being served, a live band was rockin’ the stage and throngs of people were enjoying the sunshine and wine. As the sun started to set and the revelers began to leave, the stage was transformed into the perfect spot for an evening wedding ceremony.

We had a fabulous time at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse where we participated in California Party Diva’s Sweetheart Soiree! The “Almost Newlywed” game was the icing on the cake that was a beautiful day on the bay.

We had a bridal bouquet give away which had everyone excited about the possibility of winning. Tara Heikens is the winner of the bridal bouquet and we can’t wait to help her make her day even more beautiful. We didn’t want to deprive the rest of the brides so we are offering a FREE BRIDAL BOUQUET with every wedding package booked! Even if you didn’t attend the soiree, mention this blog post and we’ll do the same for you.

Saturday’s wedding at The Grand Tradition in Fallbrook, CA was a pleasure to be part of. A beautiful venue, a beautiful couple and a great way to kick off the Valentine’s Day holiday. Enjoy the show…

Friday, November 11, 2011 was a very popular date for couples wanting to have an easy time remember when they were married! All of San Diego was awash with newlyweds and the trend continued into Saturday, the 12th. It was one of our busiest and most successful weekends of the year. The evening of the 11th took us to The Handlrey Hotel and Resort right here in our own Mission Valley neighborhood. The flowers were beautiful and the evening was unspoiled by rain (not to be said for the following day). The staff at the hotel was beyond fabulous in helping us set up, tear down and cover a mistake. Kudos to you all for making our job easier (and ultimately our client happy).

Here is a photo of the centerpieces that brightened up the ballroom…

It was a pleasure to meet so many great brides (and their moms, friends and fiances) on Sunday at the Bridal Bazaar in Del Mar. Everyone loved the flowers that we brought and we convinced more than a few brides that yellow really is a great color for their wedding decor. I especially hope the bride getting married at Disneyland comes to see us about her flowers. How fun would that be!?!

Here are a couple of photos of our booth – it was an attention hog, no doubt!

Last weekend we got to work with some really great couples who had awesome ideas for their wedding flower designs. Check out the slideshow below to get in on the weddings. We were all over San Diego county – Julian, Downtown San Diego and Mission Bay!

We had a great time getting ready for a photo shoot for San Diego Style Weddings magazine. The first step was to get beautiful for a photo that will appear in a segment called “Faces behind the Flowers”. We were truly transformed by a fabulous makeup artist by the name of Brenda Moreno! You can find her at Young Attitude Aveda in La Jolla if you would like to transform yourself. On the left is the before picture (as if it isn’t obvious!) and on the right is the after picture. I am at the top, Pamela is in the middle and Nina is at the bottom – our trio of fabulous floral designer/wedding consultants!

This past weekend presented an opportunity to work with a bride at the gorgeous Sheraton on Harbor Island. The bride chose orchids and calla lilies for her green and white themed wedding. I need say no more, as the photos will tell all!

The Bride's Bouquet

This past weekend, though dreary and a bit chilly, took us to two lovely locations for weddings. The first stop was the San Diego Botanical Gardens in Encinitas. The beautiful garden where the ceremony took place needed just a few touches to make it the couple’s own special place. White rose petals along the aisle and chair decor were lovely in their simplicity.

The bride’s bouquet was organic, colorful and filled with texture. The blue thistle and orange mokara orchids were the groom’s pick for his boutionniere and worked with the brides choice of flowers, green and ivory roses, nicely. The orange gerbera daisies added that extra pop of color which gave it that “wow” factor!

Our second stop for the day was the Port of San Diego on Harbor Island where a great couple held their ceremony. The wind proved to be a bit challenging but in the end, love conquers all and the happy couple departed to their indoor reception at the Mission Valley Hilton. Here are a few photos of the lovely flowers the bride and groom selected:
